Hello!
I am a 9th grader and I am interested in competing in my statewide science fair this year. I would like to test the effect of different medications on P. Acnes growth. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on how to by the material and safely ship it in PA. Also, if anyone could help set up a procedure to test my project it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

- Project Question: I am interested in studying the effects of different types of medications on Acne. I would like to purchase samples of P. Acnes and keep it in an incubator to test inhibition zones. I was wondering where the best place to purchase samples of the bacteria would be. I would need to complete the project by the end of January. If anyone could give any tips about buying the materials or completing the experiment, that would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Fred,
This has been a popular topic here in the past. I'm going to paste in a few links to previous ask an expert conversations on this topic and a science buddies protocol for this that uses E. coli that you can read. I hope these help you and give you a good start. If after you read them you need some more help and advice, feel free to post again in this thread!
