Re: please help me find a cheap project.
Yusf, lots of kitchen science projects can be done for little or no money. How old are you? What is your comfort level in doing experiments? What subjects do you either know something about or would like to learn about? Biology? Chemistry? Physics? Mechanical Engineering? Computers? Electronics?
Many chemistry experiments can be done with chemicals you have in your house already. Biology experiments can often be done with things you find in nature - plants, dirt, etc. Computer programming projects can often be done with nothing more than your computer. In order to help you pick something, we'd have to know what you enjoy and what areas you'd like to learn more about?
Did you know about the site's project selection wizard? https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... gister.php

Re: please help me find a cheap project.
I am 16. A good student of my school. You can expect me to have good science knowledge. If I don't know sonething, I will search and learn it fine.
I am interested in any field of science. The project wizard didn't help as there is no option for 'how much money u can spend'
Please name me some interesting project ideas or experiment themes. I will work on my own. Just need ideas. Pleasehelp .

Re: please help me find a cheap project.
The first page of any of our projects gives you an estimate of cost. Being open to all fields of science is excellent but it doesn't help anyone here suggest something you might like that won't cost anything. To help pick from projects we have on the site already, you could go through the wizard and then look at some of the projects' Summary pages to see the estimated cost. You could also browse them by subject area. But to just suggest something from the rather large fields of science and engineering that's suitable for a studious high school student isn't a fair question.
Projects in computer programming can cost nothing. Chemical experiments with vinegar and baking soda cost next to nothing but tend to be rather simplistic. Botany projects can be very inexpensive since you may be able to use plants yo find outdoors. I'm sure that someone here will be able to suggest something if you tell us what you enjoy studying.

Yes. I like botany. I also like working on things which help to make the planet greener.

Hi yusf,
FYI the search feature on our site does let you filter by cost. Go to this page:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... llprojects
and then click on one of the project areas. On the right side of the screen there is a menu called "Search Refinements." Expand the "Cost" section and you can check the box for "Very low (under $20)". If you UNCHECK the box for the topic area you selected under "Areas of Science", it should then go back to showing all areas. I'm not sure if this link will work, but my search results show that we have 437 projects in the "Very low" cost category:
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... Low&x=,0,0
Hope that helps.
