I am aiming to make an artificial pancreas. However I am struggling to get a insulin pump or a CGM. Is there any substitute for them that anyone could suggest?
Also, I was planning on using a 12 v pump that I could programme with a sensor but how would it work without any sensor??! Any suggestions??!?

- Project Question: I am entering the Google science fair next year and thought of doing this project: dealing with diabetes, road to making a artificial pancreas. I am 16 year old and would like to find out is the standard requirement for my age? Also, what else could I add apart from the "make it your own" suggestions? Thank you

Re: Artificial pancreas Reply ASAP'!!!
Hi There!
I wasn't too sure of the answer myself so I did a search on science buddies or insulin pump. The search brought me to this experiment idea for building an artificial pancreas https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... ml#summary. If you click through to the materials and procedure section, there is a lot of guidance of what parts to look for and how to build it.
Hopefully this can give you some of the guidance you need to get started!
Good luck and let us know how it goes!
