What is the average attitude towards homosexuality?

Post by deleted-312629 »

Over the years I have noticed that most people my own age have little to no knowledge of homosexuality at all,
or bisexuality,
or pansexuality,
or basically any other sexuality besides heterosexuality, otherwise known as "straight".
this is a travesty, and I want to do a project about the general ignorance about this subject.
yet I have no idea how to go about doing it.
Any advice?

What is the question that you want to ask? You say that the average person does not understand any other kind of sexuality than hetero, but what is your evidence for that statement? There has been a lot of coverage of sexual variations in the media over the past decade, so it would seem that most people are at least aware of them even if they don't understand them.

Determining peoples' attitudes towards a subject is usually done by questionnaire. Depending on what you want to find out, you have to write a carefully worded set of questions and give the questionnaire to volunteers to fill out. When you get the answers back you will have to rate them in some way so that you can support or reject your hypothesis.

Since I don't know what it is that you want to find out, I can't give any specific suggestions. If you will write a hypothesis and explain how you will test it, we may be able to help you to create a project.
