Tracking Geomagnetic Storms in the Ionosphere

Post by deleted-315129 »

Can anyone suggest the brand and model of GPS that can be used for this project? We should be able to turn on and off the WAAS capability of the GPS. We have a TomTom Start handheld model of GPS and I am unable to find out the WAAS turn off/on button on this GPS.
Thanks!

I am not very familiar with GPS models, so perhaps another expert may be able to provide more help. However, it looks like Garmin GPS units can be WAAS-enabled; however, none of the TomTom nor tablet-based GPS units appear to be WAAS-enabled.

To run this project, you may look to borrow a Garmin GPS unit. If it is WAAS-enabled, it should say so on the product description.

Best of luck, this is definitely a fun project.
