Salt Oscillator Uses

Hi,
I REALLY need help on my science fair.
I just started to work on my science fair. My question is "What is the effect of the salinity and hole size on a salt oscillator?"
I need to find an application for this. By this I mean what problems will it solve. I need help finding the right track on the
problems it can solve because I have applications to where you can find salt oscillators but i can't find problems my project
will solve. PLEASE RESPOND ASAP.

Here is one idea. Once you have measured the properties of your salt oscillator, you may be able to determine the salt concentration of unknown water solutions. So you could make a device that tells how salty a given sample of water is. You could even call it a salt-o-meter ☺

I would recommend you test either the salinity or the hole size, not both. For example, let's say I was testing the effect of listening to music and eating while doing homework. If you do very poorly on your work, you cannot tell whether it was listening to music or eating that caused it.

You say you need to find an application for this. In the future, I would recommend you look for an application first, then a project based on that application. Choose something that you will enjoy or think as beneficial. That way, science fair will be less stressful.
