We are trying the experiment "Are there bugs under your feet". We have tried soil samples from a couple different places, made adjustments to our funnel, left it for various lenghts of time, but so far we are not seeing anything in the alcohol from the jar. Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi, Jen! Personally, have never done this project before, but it sounds really cool. Make sure you follow all of the procedures exactly, as they are very detailed and it may be possible that you accidentally missed one of the steps. Also, it is indicated that it may take up to five days for fauna to appear, so you may have to wait. If you are able and if time permits, you may want to try building a few new funnels for a backup or if you left something out the first time. Also, make sure you keep any funnels you try in a warm area in order to keep the fauna alive.
