Lately I got curious about astronomy. I wondered about this subject for a few days:
Without modern technology, how could we know that the sun doesn't have a 24 hour orbit around earth, while earth takes a year to complete a spin around it's axis? How could people such as Copernicous tell the difference? Sorry for the noob question, I know little about astronomy.
Proof that the sun does not circle the Earth?

Hello. Is this part of a science project? If so, please tell us a little more about your project. Otherwise, this is not the appropriate forum.

I admit it is indeed not the appropriate forum. I could not find the right forum when I posted this. This post is just a curious question, not a project.dcnick96 wrote:Hello. Unfortunately, Science Buddies is for helping students on their science fair questions. I found several forums that might be more suitable for your discussion by googling "astronomy discussion forums." Thanks for your understanding, good luck, and keep the curiosity going!
