The aperture setting on my camera will only go to F4.0. The instructions state to set it at F2.8; will the project still work for me with the setting of F4.0?

Yes, f4.0 should be OK. You may need to set your camera to a sensitivity of ISO 400 (instead of the ISO 200 recommended in the procedure) to compensate for the smaller aperture.
