tsunami detector

Hello I am in grade 8 and am very interested in science. I am looking for some help with plans to build a tsunami detector. I have only just started my science fair project. I have search the internet and have been unable to find much information on this topic.

Hi rooke,

This is a very interesting project. If you have tried googling 'tsunami detector' and didn't yield any positive results, then I would suggest you look at scholar.google.com. This website will help you find scholarly articles on tsunami detectors.

Here is one for starters:

Since you are in 8th grade, I'm sure you're science classes have been general. If you plan on actually building a device, you would defintiely need some engineering background - a physics class.
