Effects of very strong Electromagnetic fields on humans?

Post by deleted-361816 »

How many terahertz would it take to implode a human brain? Could an EMF be so strong it ruptures a humans organs? What other effects might very high amounts of electromagnetic energy do to a human? like in the terahertz range? Could the EMF effect animals too?

(I need some background research on this, but obviously no one has tried to kill humans with an EMF. Or I couldn't find it. This is part of my research on electromagnetic fields for my AP science class. So, I guess I'm asking if this is theoretically possible.)

High energy electromagnetic waves, for example X-rays are powerful enough to ionize molecules and affect cells. Microwaves are also very dangerous to human tissue. Unlike X-rays, terahertz radiation is not ionizing radiation and its low photon energies in general do not damage tissues and DNA.

Search for: ionizing electromagnetic radiation.
