how to check level of metabolism of cholesterol lowering drugs other than using the technique of mass spectroscopy and HPLC? Is it possible to use a coloriemeter if yes then how

Hi,

I couldn't find anything on using a "coloriemeter." Did you mean "calorimeter?" If you did, then I think you can, but I'm not sure how. The websites I visited mentioned measuring it by "indirect calorimetry." So I'm not sure. I'll have to do more research and then get back to you. =)

I find no peer-reviewed scientific research articles dealing with use of a "coloriemeter", though I have seen the term pop up on a few German and Dutch web sites. I guess that you are referring to what, in English, is called a "colorimeter"? Whether you can use one to check for drug interactions or metabolites is beyond me. Good luck.
