Hi,
When people have diabetes, their islet or beta cells are being attacked by the immune system so why don't scientists just invent a device that produces insulin or islet cells and put it in their bodies?

Hi Billybog,
I believe scientists are working on this approach, however, there are some issues with it that they need to improve. I've attached one article about Islet transplantation, however, you should feel free to look for more. I recommend going to scholar.google.com and searching for your topic of interest.
