Question about placement of solar power panels on science project

I am helping my 7th grade son with a science project from Science Buddies. The project is the one titled "Get Something for Nothing: Free Power from the Sun." On the procedure page (Here is the link)

It shows diagrams of the placing of the solar panel at various angles.
My question is how are they getting the solar panel to stay put at those angles? I can not tell from the diagram drawings...are they simply pieces of wood and you lean the panel up against them?

kennethmilano - For this experiment, the method to set the angle of the solar panel is not critical. A piece of wood or other support would work well as long as it was stable.

thank you...that is what I thought, but was not sure if the rear side of solar panel being exposed was necessary or not....thanks again, Ken Milano
