Experimenting with water

Post by deleted-410181 »

Hello, so I have been pandering this idea for awhile now. I'm not so sure where to get the result I need so here it goes.

I have a cup that I want submerge to water level so water comes into the cup at a fast rate but water leaves the cup faster then it comes In I would like to base it on a water turbine technology any light anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated Thankyou :)

Hi Brainstrom,
Based on your description, it sounds to me like this is something very similar to a vortex tube.
Please take a look at the following URLs and see if these materials can be of help to get you started:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vortex_tube

Unfortunately, I am not sure that you can use water directly with this concept since you can't really compress water. (not under normal conditions anyway)

Good Luck and please let us know what we can do to help!
