Science Fair project Idea on ElectroMagnetism
Hello, So I need help making a doorbell using copper wire, Alligator clip wire, magnets, and anything else I might need. I researched on how to build a doorbell but I can't find a single one using magnets (small permanent magnets). I would be grateful if you could at least point me in the right direction,

Hi Jagrit,
I am afraid permanent magnets won't work in a door bell application because you need to be able to switch on / off the magnetic field to attract the switch to complete the circuit, i.e. turning it on / off as the door bell button is pressed. You can build a electromagnet though with the parts that you mentioned though.
Please take a look at:

Good Luck and Please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help!
