The experiment I was conducting is called "Which Orange Juice Has the Most Vitamin C?". In the experiment's materials, it mentions Vitamin C tablets 250 mg. I can't find the vitamin C 250 mg tablets in any of the nearby stores, but there are vitamin C 500 mg tablets. Is it okay if I substitute the 250 mg tablet with a half tablet of 500 mg?

Hello Rida and welcome to Science Buddies,

Yes, that's a great idea. At first glance, you might think of just cutting the 500 mg tablet in half. But you might get a more accurate amount of Vitamin C if you use the 500 mg in Step 5 C b and completely dissolve it in 200 ml of distilled water, instead of 100 ml.

then use just 100 ml of that solution in Step 5 C d.
