Recording on a Wire Measurement Tools

Post by deleted-290578 »

I am doing the Recording on a Wire project (https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... p015.shtml) and I am not getting any results on a multimeter, on it's most sensitive setting. I am pretty sure the coil is working. I get some feedback (static noise, while the wire is in movement), on the RadioShack amplifier. Also, is the recording wire supposed to be touching the ferrite core (the head)? One last thing, could I get a simple diagram of the hookup wires connected to the "mini phone plug?" The procedure isn't very specific and I want to make sure I actually did it right (I have a stereo jack).
