Re: independent and dependent varibales
Hi stephanieitzel,
The independent variable is the thing that you change in your experiment. The dependent variable is the thing that changes in response to the independent variable. For example, if I did a project where I was comparing how many numbers teenagers vs. senior citizens could repeat back to me, then age would be the independent variable and the number of numbers repeated would be the dependent variable.
So, what are the different groups that you are testing? And what are you measuring in your tests? The answers to those questions should tell you what your independent and dependent variables are. Post back with what you think the variables are, and we'll check them.
