Egg surface - flat or pointet - Help needed to start experiment

Post by deleted-418459 »

Doing a science report and need to know if the top of the egg is flat or pointed. If the surface is flat how do i calculate how much area it covers in m^2?

Hello Olej,

A quick online search turned up a few “hits” on calculating the surface area of an egg. Doing so requires an assumption that an egg has an elliptical shape. The following site describes the calculation of surface area and volume:

I hope this helps. Please post again if you have more questions.
