Re: The bouba kiki effect
Hi anushka26,
The Bouba-Kiki Effect could be tested very simply. You can prepare index cards and separate them into two stacks. On each index card for the first stack, draw a pointy shape. On each index card for another stack, draw a round, bubbly shape. Next, make a chart with enough space to track "correct" (kiki- pointy shape, bouba- round, bubbly shape) responses and "incorrect" (kiki- round, bubbly shape, bouba- pointy shape) responses. After, gather volunteers and show each card to see how each volunteer interpret the card as either "bouba" or "kiki". Lastly, you can compare the number of "correct" responses and "incorrect" responses to see if most of the volunteers gave "correct" responses.
More information about testing the Bouba-Kiki Effect can be found here: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... iki-effect .
I hope this answers your question. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to post your questions here.
