Help in Citation

Post by deleted-502775 »

Hi, Experts, I have one question about the citation. If we write social science research papers and I have copied some material to another source or any another author. So I need to cite these materials But if I cite this material using any citation generators like http://www.researchomatic.com/citation-generator/ or http://citationmachine.com/ so the tools making citation is acceptable??? Or I read lots of places the citation tools can't work properly. So please suggest some good ways to make a proper and accurate citation.

Hi James,

I'm not familiar with the citation generators you have listed, but I'm sure that many exist out there. One good one to use if your school has it is the program EndNote, which is very helpful because it automatically formats citations in many different styles. I believe that it is very expensive to buy as a standalone product, so check to see if your school computers have it. If they don't have it, then I would assume you can use the ones you found online. The formatting preference will be up to your instructor. Ask them what formatting style they want you to use for your paper, and see if the program you use can format the citations in the style that you need.

Let us know if you have further questions.
