How wet should sand be to build a sandcastle?

Post by Sam0736 »

I am not sure where to look for info on this for the research portion of my science project. I've been to some water sites and to sandcastle sites. If anyone can help me with some possibile places to look up info, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks, Sam0736

Hey Sam,

For starters, I would reccomend looking at this thread, which discusses a topic very closely related to yours. https://www.sciencebuddies.org/mentorin ... php?t=1721

Most, if not all, of the principles described in the thread will apply to your project.

After reading the thread, let me know about specific questions you have. Let's work together to gather research.
All the best,
Terik

Actually I had read some of this last night before I posted my question, it does help some, especially understanding how the volume of the water and sand are key to the project. I have to write my research paper tonight and I really appreciate your help.
