chagas disease

i want to track the kissing bug population in my area and i would like to see if any have the parasite that causes chagas disease. how should i go about this? what type of equipment/supervision would i need?

Currently, there are a few different methods which are used in order to diagnose T. cruzi infections (parasite responsible for causing Chagas disease), these include: serological methods (for example ELISA assays and immunoblotting techniques), quantitative PCR (qPCR), xenodiagnoses and microscopy.
