Direction of the MilkyWay
I have learned that the earth is the center of the celestial sphere. If that is true then the center of the Milky Way is a certain direction (right ascention i think) from our earth, or solar system. I want to know which direction the center of the Milky Way is according to the earth. What is the right asension and declination?

Hi Darcid,
Its nice to know you go to Monte Vista HS. Is that the one in Cupertino ?
Anyway I actually am not familiar with the terms in your question so I am also learning bleep new here.
I found another link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galactic_center
That talks about the Galactic Center (which you are looking for the direction of with respect to earth in terms of right ascension and declenation).
I think the numbers are the same as the previous link that the previous expert posted. So it confirms it I guess.
