For the project "Chemistry of Baking Ingredients 2: Can Baking Soda Substitute for Baking Powder in a Recipe?", are we supposed to make muffins from scratch, or can I use Jiify's blueberry muffin mix?

You will want to use the recipe included in the procedure: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... #procedure
(The materials needed are listed on the Materials tab.)
If you used a ready-made mix, you would not be able to control the amounts of the ingredients you are investigating in this project.

Chemistry of Baking Ingredients 2: Can Baking Soda Substitute for Baking Powder in a Recipe Project
For this experiment, do I need to make 5 half batches; one with baking powder and bake four more of the same recipe (without baking powder) with ALL of these:
0 teaspoons cream of tartar, 3/4 teaspoons baking soda,
1 teaspoon cream of tartar, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda,
1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar, 3/4 teaspoons baking soda,
2 teaspoons cream of tartar, 1 teaspoon baking soda.
(P.S. would that make 5 half batches total including one with baking powder? I am very confused on how many batches to make. Or am i supposed to make only 4 half batches and choose 3 of those 4 options?)
