Re: science fair project
We are here to help you with your science fair project, not tell you step by step how to do it. As to whether it is a good project, if you are excited about it, and have done research so you understand the science behind it, then it can be a very good project.maiya wrote:Would making a solar oven and demonstrating it's use make a good science project? If yes, please guide me in making one providing a step-by-step procedure.any additional help is appriciated! My due date is 22 November 2006.

Why don't you look at the proposed experiments suggested at the science buddies main website. There is even one about solar cooking, under the subject of environmental engineering. There are many different projects sugested, you may want to try the "topic selector" which will help you find a project you find interesting.
Start here:

If you use on of the experiments, be sure to do your own research, and to provide proper citations to the science buddies project.
It looks like your project is due soon- you should start as soon as possible- sometimes even the most simple experiment fails to work.

Materials
Hello, Maiya!
A note of warning for you: if you decide to construct a solar oven, be sure not to use duct tape or styroafoam, because both of these materials give off toxic fumes when heated. Aside from that, good luck on your project!
