MANDA,

HELLO!

i'm teaching science, the answer to your question is not convection but conduction. clothes are insulator that is why it feels warm and the floor (tiles) is conductor...you can consult paul hewitt's conceptual physics!

MANDA,

A useful, and incredibly accurate site to go to for information is en.wikipedia.org. Type in "conduction" into the search window. I think you will find the information very useful!
All the best,
Terik
