Extracting CdS pigment from plastic bottles

Post by deleted-733866 »

Our school is concerned with the plastics lying around and we are tasked to find a way to make use of it instead of selling it to a junk shop. Our group ha suggested t make a paint or ink out of the pigments that we can collect from those plastic bottles but we don't know how to get those that's why we are asking for your help if you have any idea on how to do it. It would be a great help not only for us but also for everyone all around the globe.

Hi,
I am not sure about turning plastics into a paint / pigments. The most recent trend is turning plastics back into some type of fuel. Here's an article along with a video from Purdue University that may give you a few more ideas:

Good Luck!
