I am having problems finding research on this, would someone please help? I am building 5 small wooden houses and painting them in 4 different colors and one being natural wood. All the paints are the same brand however, would the color make a difference in temperature once set on fire. I dont know how to start researching for this. Please help!!
Thanks.

Hi there,
I am not an expert in fire, but my first feeling on your experiment is that instead of color of the paint that will effect the temperature of the fire it is likely that the CHEMICAL contest that make up the paint of different color swould burn differently and produce different temperature fires. In your experiment you also have a house that is not painted so that house will not be exposed to any chemicals at all.
Here is a page on Fires:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire
There is a section on "chemistry of fire".
You could go down to your local fire station and tell them about your project. Maybe one of the firemen there can give more insight into this matter ?
Hope this helps to some extent.
