For my science fair project I am building a trebuchet and changing the counterweight to see its effect on distance.
My independent variable would be the different weights
My dependent variable would be the distance the projectile travels.
What would my control be? Would I have one for this experiment?
Thanks.
Control in a trebuchet experiment?

Re: Control in a trebuchet experiment?
Hello,
Based off the description of your science project, it does not seem as if your project needs a control, as there is no group with which you are comparing the results of the variable groups. Rather, all your variable groups are simply being compared to one another.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask and I will do my best to further help.
