what size disc

Post by sweaver »

My son is doing a project testing natural rem against antibiotics.
My question is what size difussion disc should I order. I found one that is 6mm. Is that large enough for one per plate?

Its the little things that drive you crazy.

Thanks in advance.

Some help, at least

Post by Bob.Burkhart »

I was hoping someone with more experience with diffusion discs would respond but since no one has I found a document on the web at:
http://www.bsac.org.uk/_db/_documents/v ... t2002_.pdf

that seems to be a very good step-by-step process for evaluating antibiotic effects using diffusion discs.

Good luck.
Hope this helps,

Thanks

This was more help than just size.

Hoping our kids love science as much as we do!,
