What kind of gases can be tested on a balloon powered car
what kind of gases can be used to see the different distances a balloon powered car can go

Hello,
I think that dihydrogen can do the trick.

Re: What kind of gases can be tested on a balloon powered car
Hello,
This sounds like a fun project! Unfortunately, it's probably very difficult to obtain other gases to test in the car at home and most would likely not change the distance the car travels much. Some gases may even be dangerous to use at home.
If you want to test other variables, you might consider modifying the design of your car to add/reduce weight or add/reduce drag (make it more aerodynamic). You could also test different types of balloons to see which one stores the most potential energy.
Good luck,
Audrey
