Absorption in plant soil
Hey, I’m doing a science fair project and its based on testing the different tensile strengths of spider silk when feeding them chemicals that should, in theory, increase the silk’s durability. This has been done before with graphene, and we want to use borophene since it seems like a better alternative. To do that we want to feed it to crickets (spider feed) through plants, and wondering if applying it to the soil of the plants that are used to feed the crickets will directly allow borophene to go down this food chain and in the end, feed it to the spiders.

Re: Absorption in plant soil
This is a really exciting and ambitious project! Testing the tensile strength of spider silk is a really cool topic, and using borophene as a potential strengthening agent is a clever approach.
