Artificial Pancreas

My daughter is building this artificial pancreas project for a science fair.

We followed all the trouble shooting and made sure the pump(5-6) works when connected directly also using a button. But the pump never turns on when using the connection for this project with output from A0,

We tested using the MOSFET for turning the pump on as well.

Any help on troubleshooting this is greatly appreciated.

We are using IRLB8721 MOSFET. Any chance that the output from the middle pin of MOSFET greater than the Source causes the pump to not turn on.
