How to Find the average of three measurements?

Post by MekhiF »

I'm doing the electrolyte challenge project and one of the steps requires that I average the liquids that I measured in 3 tests. How do I do that?

Hello,

This sounds like a fun experiment! In step 16 of the procedure you should average the three results for each liquid you recorded in steps 2-14 when you repeated them three time.

To average these values you will add up each of the results and then divide that number by the total number of samples. For example, if you measured 2, 4, and 3 the average would be 3. First 2 + 4 + 3 = 9 and then 9 / 3 samples = 3.

Hope this helps!
