Consider what data you will be collecting. For example: Flow rates in straws of different lengths/diameters, or as suggested in “Further exploration” section of this activity: straws with clay to create “clogs”. This activity suggests calculating Flow rates: which would be volume/ time. Once your flow rates are calculated, there are several ways to create visuals: bar graphs, tables with raw data. Scatter plots are possible as well. Reminder: make sure to get multiple measurements in same category to show repeatability (at least 3–5 trials for each straw diameter)
