The Heart

Post by deleted-2131 »

gman62191,

The purpose of the heart is to circulate blood throughout the body, allowing the tissues to recieve fresh, oxygenated blood, and providing a way for oxygen-depleted blood to resotre is oxygen levels.

Playing sports affects your heart rate, speeding it up. The more movement and stress involved in a given sport, the more it will affect your heart rate.

Heart rate is often expressed in beats per minute. In other words, how many times does your heart pump each miniute.
All the best,
Terik
