After your google search you will find out that not only the size or rather the weight of the ball is important, but also the material of the ball. Since, you are just studying size, you may be able to validate some theoretical (fairly simple) equations using a video camera. Just drop the different size balls from a fixed height and video record the rebound. Make sure you have several reference points next to the object that is flying so that you can match the rebound to an actual height.
