magnetic project
I am in 6th grade doing a science fair project on testing what materials will block magnetic fields. I need to find others that have done this experiment and their results. This is part of my research and I don't know where to find this info. Thanks, Austin

Re: magnetic project
Hi Austin!
I did a quick google search..and I found the following links-
http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/p ... y00508.htm
http://www.physlink.com/Education/askExperts/ae512.cfm
So it seems like there are no such materials which could block magnetic fields. Post back with any other questions..Good luck!

Re: magnetic project
Ok,thanks for the info. Where would I find the specific steps and maybe photos of how to do this experiment of magnetic fields using magnets and materials such as wood, lead, copper, paper, plastic, etc. ?
Thanks for your help,
Austin

Re: magnetic project
Hello, this question is reguarding my magnet science fair project. IN my experimental science project worksheet, there are three questions. But I don't know what they mean by these 3 terms.
1. experimental control?
2. experimental variable?
3. control variables?
Thank You,
Austin James

Re: magnetic project
Austin,
Here is a webpage that does a good job of explaining variables: https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... bles.shtml
Read it and then if you have more questions or still don't understand these questions, please let us know so that we can help you.
Good Luck!
