Effect of H2O2 on seed germination and root growth of cuttin

Post by denisebeard »

I am doing a science fair project on this topic based on the outline provided at this site. What I need to know is what concentration of H2O2 am I supposed to be starting with, before I dilute it with the water?

Is it the 3%, like you can get at the grocery store, or is it the 35% like they use in industrial applications? or something inbetween? It isn't specified in the experiment outline.

Thanks for any help you can provide!! :D

Doing a Google search on "H2O2 seed germination" and looking at the results makes it seem like the standard household 3% concentration is the way to go.
