How can I find this Information?

Post by skipper4520 »

Im doing a science project and Its due in a week and I'm so far behind! I can't find the right web site to find the information i need to start the project. Where might I be able to find how much fertilizer, mud, acid, and mosquito spray, you have to have in water for it to be considered toxic for a gold fish. Here is my Question Statement for the project: In which living condition will a fresh water fish going to be able to survive the longest? When its placed in acid water, miscquito spray water, muddy water, or fertilized water.

Hi skipper4520,
Welcome to the Ask an Expert forums. The type of toxicology project you are planning is prohibited by International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) rules. For more information, please read the section on "prohibited projects" at
https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... imals.shtm

I suggest adapting your experiment to study non-vertebrate animals or plants, or searching for a related topic at https://www.sciencebuddies.org/science- ... deas.shtml. For more information about toxicology of various chemicals, you can search the web for "LD50" and whatever chemical interests you.

good luck!
Chris
