Hi,
Here some resources to answer your question:
http://www.kidney.org/news/newsroom/new ... 99&&cid=75
http://www.annals.org/cgi/content/abstract/143/3/174
http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/133450.php
http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/Press_re ... 11_04.html
http://www.asn-online.org/press/pdf/200 ... elease.pdf
It appears the jury is still out on which type of dialysis is better for your kidneys, but these resources suggest hemodialysis may be better for long term survival (if you have to be on it for more than a year), but patients like peritoneal dialysis better.
Hope this answers your question. Sorry the answer is not more definitive.
Best regards,
Barrett Tomlinson
