Commercial Antacid Analysis

Post by BleuFonce »

I'm doing a project to determine the effectiveness of commercial antacids in neutralizing stomach acids. I am going to base my hypothesis on the pH and pOH of each antacid and determine the moles of H+ and OH- in each antacid. The procedure will involve an acid-base back-titration with standardized .155M NaOH (standardized with KHP potassiom acid phtalate) and .155 M HCl (standardized with NaOH) solutions. What else could I add to my project to make it more complex or increase its originality, but still ensure accurate results?

Thanks
