I HAVE ONE QUESTION ON THE PROJECT OF MEASURING THE VISCOSITY OF MOTOR OIL AT DIFFERENT TEMPERATURE GIVEN IN MATERIAL ENGINEERING SECTION OF THE SITE.
MY QUESTION IS AFTER HEATING THE OIL HOW CAN WE MAINTAIN THE TEMPERATURE OF OIL AND IS THERE ANY METHOD FOR THIS.?

The time it takes to measure viscosity of a liquid is typically fast enough that you don't have to maintain the temperature. More error will likely come from heat loss to the vicosity measuring device so you probably want to heat the apparatus to the test temperature along with the oil.

THANKS CRAIG_BRIDGE.OKEY SO I HAVE TO HEAT THE APPARATUS TO THE TEST TEMPERATURE ALONG WITH THE OIL DURING EXPERIMENT BUT CAN YOU TELL ME IS THERE ANY METHOD FOR THIS ? How are you heating the oil and what apparatus are you using to measure the viscosity?
For things like a sphere dropping through a liquid in a container, you heat the sphere and the container and the oil together using some safe heat source. For seeing how fast a liquid flows through a hole, you heat the container with the hole inside another bigger container with the oil again using some safe heat source and then quickly lift the calibrated container above the surface letting the oil flow into the bigger container . For things like a torque wrench and paddle, if you use a paddle with low thermal mass and low thermal conductivity, just heat the container with the oil and don't worry about any small thermal loss to the paddle. For things like pushing a rod with a spring into the fluid, the thermal mass and thermal conductivity and a small difference in temperature probably won't change the temperature of the oil enough to matter if you have a big enough container of oil.
Be safe heating oil as there is a risk of fire and scalding and staining / melting other things with the hot oil.
