my grandson damieniam 'posted 10 questions on squids to ask and expert the reply ca,e that it had to be a science project .not homework .
for your information damien is in the 6th grade at andersen middle schoo,at andersen afb ,in guam his teacher is Mrs Salas and they are legimiate questions.as squids are his science fair project
.he is getting ready to disect a squid and take it ink and compare it to bottle ink. so how about checking it out with the school and giving him his answers

I apologize for the misunderstanding on the squid project. This sounds like an excellent topic for a science fair project and will be a good learning experience for your grandson. I will go back and try to send a response to the questions and give some suggestions for the experiment.

The purpose of the science buddies website is to give advice for doing science projects. When we see lists of seemingly unrelated questions on a topic, we usually think the student is trying to get answers for a homework project, and we don't answer these. I would have given the same response that Melissa did to the original inquiry. When we didn’t hear back from your grandson, we didn’t realize that his questions were related to the science project. We know now that your grandson is doing background research on his project, and we do encourage this so that the student will become an expert in the topic.

After I send a reply, please talk to your grandson, and if he doesn’t understand the information, or if he has questions, please have him reply and ask for more information. We will definitely try to provide him with the help he needs.
