Hi,

I am not sure we have any experts in human behavior on this forum, and I really don't think we have anyone who specializes in vision. So, I would suggest talking to your local eye doctor or contacting someone at a nearby university instead.

That said, can you tell us a little bit more about your experiment? I'm not sure what your topic is. Did you just change font color and have people read normal words, or were you actually changing font color and having them read words like 'blue' and 'red', etc.?

I suspect the people who you really want to interview are people in the advertising / graphic arts industry.

i have not done my experiment, but i was thinking of putting a list of colors such as : red,blue,green etc. with their font colors matching up with the words, and having someone read the font colors on tthis list as accurately and as fast as they possible can. Then i was going to make a second list of the same colors, except on this list i would mix-match thier fonts colors. Then i would have the sameperson read the second list with the mix-matched font colors, and ask them to read the font colors as accurately and as fast as they can. That was pretty much what i was thinking of doing as my experiment.


oh. yeah and i would time them how long it took for them to read each list, and how many the got right, and how many they got wrong.

Okay--it that case Craig is right; you should try contacting a graphic designer and/or someone in the advertisement field. I bet your local newspaper has a staff in charge of advertisements who might be able to help you or point you in the right direction.
