I need help finding the Independent Variable
So I have this science project I have to do that is due on Friday (1/22/10). My subject is "What is the effect of energy drinks on reaction time" I know what my Dependent Variable is, reaction time, but I have no clue as to what would be my Independent Variable. I don't want to test different amounts of drink or different brands. This is a sumary of my procedure, First take the reaction time test on the computer (for the variable), second drink one energy drink, third take the same test again five times. Hope the info I gave will help you help me
and thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hi,
I refer you to the variable page of the Science Buddies Project Guide:

As I read your post the independent variable is the energy drink.
Best regards,
Barrett L. Tomlinson
