Hi,
The ability of microorganisms to absorb such heavy metals really varies a lot. However, there are a lot of projects which you can check the procedures of in order to give you some insight into what scales and quantities you should use in your own project:

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 222432.htm

http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~rur/issue2_fil ... /spain.pdf

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11963846

http://www.nepjol.info/index.php/ON/art ... /1655/1544

The tolerance would depend on the species, and would definitely be something of interest to you to test and analyze in your project! Hope this helps!

Hi,
Also, in terms of co-immobilization, this article and its references (Leung et al. in particular) may be of use to you:

chbhaveshri,

I've merged two of your posts and deleted a third that was a word-for-word duplicate of this one. We ask that you keep all of your posts about a particular project in the same thread. It helps experts and everyone else see all of the relevant information together, so you'll really get better answers that way.
