Hi,

Yes, this project involves asking humans questions, so you need to get approval for your project beforeo your start. This science buddies site will help you get started with this part of the project:

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the reply, my teacher already approved the experiment and gave me some papers on the consent form but I'm really confused about what to put in it. Could you please explain how im supposed to do it in like easier terms? I need to finish this by tommorow and I'm completely lost.

Hi,
Don’t worry. You just need to prepare some blank forms for all of your test subjects to sign before you start the experiment. Here is an explanation from ISEF:
“For studies involving human subjects (including interviews and surveys), the rules state that you must obtain written permission from each of your human subjects before you test or interview them. This permission is called informed consent.”
Here is a website that includes an example of an informed consent form on page 35. You need to make up forms that describe the purpose of your project and have everyone who participates in your project sign the form, giving you permission to do your project. If your test subjects are other children, then you need to get their parents to sign the form also.

You should make an example of an informed consent form for your project to show to your teacher tomorrow. Then you should be ready to start your project.

Does this help?
